CLIMA HOTEL
THE WELLNESS OF OUR GUESTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY ARE CERTIFIED
Nature and respect for the environment are very important to us.
We are located in a place of great natural beauty, which we have opted to respect and love to the utmost. This is why our building has been designed to reduce heat loss to a minimum.
Particular care has also been given to acoustic insulation, both inside and outside.
All this translates into a series of advantages for you. Starting with a temperature that is always pleasant in the room, without annoying draughts of cold air. You can sleep soundly without the risk of waking up cold.
The high level of soundproofing, both inside and outside, will transform your room into a peaceful and serene bubble to enjoy your stay without being disturbed by irritating noises.

In all rooms, you can breathe pure air: all paints are natural and with minimal formaldehyde emissions and in the common areas there is always a change of air thanks to a ventilation system with heat recovery.
We also chose alternative, non-polluting energy sources such as geothermal energy.
In fact, the building has obtained energy certification from the Autonomous Province of Trento, certifying class A+ with an annual consumption of 15.82 kWh per m², equivalent to 2000 litres of diesel per year.

What we have done in practice
Achieving ClimaHotel certification was not easy. We started with an ad-hoc design in conjunction with the best experts and personally supervised every stage of construction.
From the foundations to the roof, every detail cannot be left to chance.
To achieve this result, we chose a 14 cm thermal insulation of expanded polystyrene with graphite additive, wood-aluminium frames with low-emission triple glazing, and a ventilated roof with 24 cm of wood fibre insulation. Particular care was also taken to eliminate thermal bridges and to increase passive heating by means of large windows on the south-facing side.

During the summer, the insulation of the building and the use of sunshades controlled by domotics and the client guarantee a high level of living comfort.
We also considered the acoustic comfort of the rooms, adopting 5-sheet plasterboard walls and fibreglass insulation, acoustic glass on the windows, highly insulated interior doors and anti-noise drainpipes for the toilets, further insulating them with a recycled rubber pad. Particular attention was paid to eliminating reflections in the common areas.

Clean energy
We have decided to make Viridis Hotel an "Oil Free" facility, meaning that we renounce fossil fuels altogether. To meet the energy needs of the property we use geothermal energy, solar energy and in case of emergency biomass with pellets.
Before erecting the structure, we drilled 8 holes of 125 metres for a total of 1000 metres in rock, then we laid 4000 metres of piping (4 per probe). This was done in order to allow the operation of the heat pump that provides the heating and hot water needs.
With an output of 42 kWt, equivalent to the heating output of a residential boiler, we heat the building without emitting harmful substances into the atmosphere.

We also use the sun's heat through 23 m² of flat-plate solar collectors to cleanly produce hot water and supplement our mid-season heating. For peak energy demand, however, there is a small pallet boiler to assist the geothermal.
We have also installed 17 kWp of solar panels, so that the heat pump's power consumption is fully covered even on days when the sun is not shining. The building is heated by underfloor heating, which also guarantees high living comfort. During the summer it is possible to have free cooling, again using radiant floor systems.
